Abstract(in English) This paper experimentally investigates the throughput performance of Variable Spreading Factor (VSF)-CDMA broadband wireless access in the reverse link multipath fading channel, employing the change of channel coding rate, R, and the number of multiplexed codes, C_ according to the received signal energy per symbol-to-background noise spectrum density ratio (E_s/N_o) assuming QPSK data modulation. The experimental results demonstrated that in a multipath fading channel, up to six paths, VSF-CDMA increases the achievable throughput by increasing R and C_ according to the increase in the average received E_s/N_o. Furthermore, we experimentally elucidated that the above 20 Mbps throughput is achieved using 40-MHz bandwidth at the average received E_S/N_O=8.8 dB, by employing QPSK data modulation, R=1/2 and C_=3 codes ofthe spreading factor SF=4 in a four-path fading channel, where the spectrum efficiency corresponds to above 20 Mbps / 40 MHz=0.5 bits/Hz.
