Abstract(in English) | The various wireless systems require much more frequency resources. We have to cultivate new solutions to settle this issue. The main stream of modulation development has two directions. One is multi-dimensional modulation and another is single side band modulation technology. The authors have tried to make progress on both ways. The common target is to provide orthogonal I-Q planes, which provide four information fields. As for the multi-dimensional modulation approach, the third axis on the I-Q plane is a differential phase. The cosine waves for the carrier should be a higher harmonics of the symbol frequency by 2n+1, here n is an integer. This modulation looks like a doubled QPSK, giving four bits on the same bandwidth of QPSK. A simulation result clarifies the proposed method has better BER than 16QAM. The degradation of BER in comparison with QPSK is less than 0.5dB On the other hand, as for the SSB-QPSk, the third axis on the I-Q plane is the complex frequency. The two QPSK are modulated to a USB and an LSB respectively. These USB and LSB are placed on the same half-band. The demodulator is consisted of two SSB modulators. In an AWGN environment, a simulation result clarifies the proposed method has better BER than 16QAM. The degradation of BER in comparison with QPsk is less than 0.5dB, too. |
