| Abstract(in English) | We have previously proposed a hierarchical ICI (Inter Channel Interference) canceller for SDM (Space Division Multiplexed)-COFDM (Code Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing ) system. It has two types of ICI cancellers. The one is a multiplicative ICI canceller that multiplies received symbols by the inverse propagation coefficient matrix. The other is a subtractive ICI canceller that generates interference replicas by re-encoding and re-modulating symbols through the multiplicative ICI canceller and subtracts interference replicas from the received symbols and weight the symbols by the propagation coefficient and combines them to obtain diversity gain. We develop and test an SDM-COFDM prototype using the hierarchical ICI canceller to confirm its feasibility. The results clarify that, (1) the hierarchical ICI canceller improves required CNRs (Carrier-to-Noise Power Ratio) at PER (Packet Error Rate) of 0.1 by 1.4dB-2.5dB for SDM-COFDM, (2) it improves 1.14times longer the delay spread in which the degradation of required CNR for SDM-CODFM in a comparison of SISO (Single Input Single Output) is less than 2.5dB, (3) it improves 2.3times larger the maximum Doppler frequency in which the degradation of required CNR is less than 3.5dB, compared with those of the multiplicative ICI canceller. |
