Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a peak reduction (PPR) scheme based on reversal of parity-bits for BCH-coded OFDM signal. in PPR scheme, peak power can be reduced by reversing the entire parity-check block of codeword, i. e. consequently adjusting the phase of the subcarrier where parity-check bits are allocated, so as to minimize PAPR of OFDM signal after combining data- and parity- carriers, symbol-by-symbol. At the receiver, the original codeword can be restored with sufficient accuracy by checking the Syndrome of received codeword. When (7, 4), (31, 26) and (31, 21) BCH code are employed, PAPR of coded OFDM signal at the CCDF (Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function) of 10^<-4> can be reduced by about 2.8, 2.5 and 2.0dB by applying PPR scheme while achieving approximately the same BER performance as the case of ideal decoding in exponential decaying 6-path Rayleigh fading condition.
