Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) At the present, in order to increase system capacity and operate higher transmission rates, it is investigated to apply the spatial signal processing techniques such as AAA (Adaptive Antenna Array) and MIMO (Multiple input Multiple output), to wide-band mobile communication systems. Here, when these techniques are estimated accurately, spatiotemporal path model that handles the spatial and the temporal characteristics at the same time is essential. Up to now, a lot of models have been proposed. Note that, in almost all the models the simulated path characteristics depend on the spatial distribution of scattering components, because these models are based on usual scattering model. Nevertheless, there are few reports in which the distribution characteristics are measured closely in practical propagation environment. In this paper, we would like to propose the method to analyze the scattering component distribution using measurement spatiotemporal path data obtained at base station. To put it concretely, first we detect the position of the scattering component assuming a "single-bounce" between transmitter and receiver, and next analyze distribution characteristics of the detected scattering components statistically using "Principal Component Analysis", which is a kind of Multivariate analysis. Also we will show the analysis results in urban area, with measured spatiotemporal path characteristics, such as delay and angle profiles.
