Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The demand for indoor high-speed wireless networks is increasing and millimeter-wave bandwidths appear to be especially suitable for ad hoc wireless systems. At the communications research laboratory, we have commenced a project to experiment with millimeter-wave communication systems that use a frequency of 70 GHz. The experiments were performed in a Japanese style wooden house at frequencies of 60 and 70 GHz. We measured the propagation characteristics depending on the distance between the transmitter and receiver in an LOS environment. We also measured the delay profiles in a shadowed environment created by furniture and a human body. The results of the propagation measurements are presented.
