Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report analyses the characteristics of time-varying CIR on the mobile radio channels, and derives packet error rate (PER) under interference-limited conditions. At first, under the assumption that desired and interfering signals consist of several path components which are statistically independent of each other, both the level crossing rate and the average outage duration of CIR is derived. This analysis leads to a new Markov model that classifies the propagation conditions into two states : one represents the channel condition that CIR is greater than a certain threshold, and the other is otherwise. The probabilities of the states and the state transitions during an extremely short time-interval are calculated. This model can be extended into a finite time-interval version, which is applicable to an analysis of the packet transmission. Finally, PER is calculated and its numerical examples are shown.
