Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new OFDM Turbo equalizer for mobile radio multipath environments with the delay difference greater than the guard interval (GI). In OFDM transmission, the excess delay generally causes both inter-symbol interference (ISI) to the adjacent OFDM symbol and Inter-carrier interference (ICI) within the same symbol. The proposed OFDM receiver consists of the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) to cope with ISI and the low-complexity Turbo equalizer to cancel ICI. The latter is composed of an ICI canceller, the MMSF-based filter and a MAP detector. The iterative processing of the equalization and the decoding can achieve ICI reduction that a linear filtering is hardly able to perform. Moreover, an ISI combiner can effectively combine multipath signal components by extracting ISI components that leak to the next symbol from the received signal. Computer simulations in accordance with the 5 GHz wireless LAN outdoor applications are conducted so as to verify the effectiveness of the proposed OFDM receiver, and show that it can remove both ISI and ICI, and has much better performance than the conventional coherent detecotor.
