Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The terrestrial digital broadcasting services will start in 2003, and the conventional analog broadcasting will be terminated in 2011. However, it has been reported that the quality of mobile reception for the terrestrial digital broadcasting is significantly degraded by reason of low C/N, multipath fading and so on. So we have developed the control system of antenna directivity, and have investigated the quality of mobile reception in the urban area with our system. The experimental result showed that our system could improve a receiving quality compared with the case when an omni-directional antenna was used. From the results of the experiment, it is clarified the relation between electric field strength and mobile reception probabilities.
