Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new transmit diversity called space-time block-coded multiplexing transmit diversity (STCMTD), which has a different structure from Alamouti's space-time transmit diversity (STTD). In STCMTD, the data symbol sequence is transformed into C parallel sequences, each being coded using one of C space-time block codes (N x N matrix). Each row of space-time block code corresponds to each transmit antenna. Maximum multiplexing order C is N. When time diversity transmission is combined, using two transmit antennas, the performance gain over Alamouti's transmit diversity can be obtained at the cost of time delay. The achievable bit error rate (BER) performance is evaluated by computer simulation to confirm that the superior performance to Alamouti's transmit diversity can be achieved.
