Minimum Mean Square Error Combining for Multi-rate MC-CDMA with Antenna Diversity Reception

Abstract(in English) Minimum mean square error combining (MMSEC) is considered for multi-rate MC-CDMA mobile radio with antenna diversity reception. Antenna diversity combining is performed in conjunction with multi-carrier combining for despreading (joint antenna diversity & MMSEC) or after MMSEC (post-MMSEC antenna diversity). Optimum weights for joint antenna diversity & MMSEC and post-MMSEC antenna diversity are theoretically derived. The achievable bit error rate (BER) performances with joint antenna diversity & MMSEC and post-MMSEC antenna diversity in a frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel are evaluated by computer simulations and compared.
