Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper aimed to develop a new modulation scheme that modulates signals by employing the geometrical characteristics of the ellipse. The variables involved in the analytic expression of the proposed modulation method are eccentricity, rotation frequency, revolution frequency, and offset inclination angles. Distinctive amplitude profiles produced by combinations of ellipses at different offset inclination angles suggested that binary numbers could be assigned to ellipses inclining at different offset inclination angles. The eccentricity of an ellipse can also be a modulating factor since different assignments of binary numbers can also be given to ellipses of different eccentricities. In this paper, we observe the waveforms generated by using several newly introduced modulation scheme such as Inclination Angle Shift Keying (IASK), Rotation Frequency Shift Keying (RFSK), Elliptical Phase Shift Keying (EPSK) and Eccentricity Shift Keying (ESK). Yet with these modulation schemes, we are able to produce digital waveforms encoded with digital information.
