Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ESPAR antenna is electronically steerable parasitic array radiator antenna where the passive radiators are loaded with variable varactor devices. It is suggested to define a spatial correlation of ESPAR antenna that is a cross correlation coefficient of received signal sequences between a desired user and an interfering one. These received signal sequences are obtained by rotating beam patterns. In this paper, we check the effectiveness of a spatial correlation of ESPAR antenna by comparing results between experiments from sets of the value of varactor chosen randomly and computer simulations. Next, we show, in an indoor multipath environment, a spatial correlation of ESPAR antenna and output SINR are determined by physical relationship of a desired user and an interfering one and to get high output SINR in spots of low value of a spatial correlation of ESPAR in an area where two signal sources are neighboring.
