Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many researches have been dedicated to the TCP performance analysis over wireless link, where a fixed FER is often assumed. However, the FER is temporally and geographically changeable by fading, shadowing and near/far effect, inter-cell interference and the effect of power control. In this paper, we analyze an impact of a power control on the FER in a CDMA downlink by computer simulation. Our simulation results show that there is an optimal step size of power control for a given error-collecting code, and there is no difference in attainable FER among user locations. Furthermore, this paper also discusses a state transition realization of the measured PER with a simple Markov model.
