Abstract(in English) | We consider validation tests for a block cipher module with table-lookup. In tests for these modules, all data in tables should be referred for validation. In this paper, we have examined a probability that all entries of tables are referred by test data. The probability is derived from the size of tables and amount of test data. Using the probability, we have considered the validation of tables about Monte Carlo tests published by NIST. As a result, we show that whether or not the NIST's Monte Carlo tests work depends on the implementation methods for the module. And we propose two revised validation testing methods. |
