Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In synchronous DS-CDMA systems the co-channel interference (CCI) caused by multipath propagation degrades the system performance. To overcome this, ZCZ (Zero Correlation Zone) sequences with good correlation property are proposed [1], [3]. We propose convolutional spreading CDMA based on the ZCZ sequences and discuss its performance via simulation. Although the use of ZCZ sequences completely eliminates the multipath induced CCI, inter-symbol interference (ISI) occurs instead and we need a good equalizer. In this paper we discuss the problem of equalization for a pilot aided downlink CS-CDMA with ZCZ sequences, and compared it with the conventional DS-CDMA system with the M-sequences. We consider ZF-DF (zero forcing-decision feedback), linear MMSE (minimum mean square error) equalizer and MMSE(minimum mean square error)-DFE.
