Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An ordered statistics decoding (OSD) is an iterative decoding algorithm in which the sum of the hard-decision sequence obtained from the most reliable bases of a received sequence and each sequence of generated the set of test patterns beforehand is encoded into a candidate codeword. It has shown by computer simulation that the OSD provides better error performance than an iterative bounded distance decoding (IBDD) at relatively low signal to noise ratios (SNR) and the fact is the contrary at relatively high SNRs. In this paper, we consider a decoding algorithm combining OSD and IBDD and propose a selection method of test patterns used in the decoding algorithm. Then, we show the effectiveness of the selection method by computer simulation.
