Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Multipurpose Crypto Microprocessor (MCMP) is an effective solution to protect software (programs, digital data, etc.) against infringement, illegal copy, etc. The MCMP is a microprocessor which contains encryption / decryption units in it, and it can process an encrypted software on a memory directly. The MCMP has to access an encrypted data on a memory at random like an ordinary CPU, therefore secure random access cipher is required. In this paper, we show that the security of the cipher in the conventional MCMP is insufficient. Then we present new secure ciphers for MCMP and study their security.
