Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since visual cryptography provides a method by which people can confirm the secrets visually, it can be friendly to ordinal people who are reluctant to trust the security of computers and input devices entirely. It is in fact one of the secret sharing methods, and the shares are slides on which some randomly-looking patters are printed. Many papers have been published in these years some of which are practical and possible to implement. However, the relation between the length of the secret, the number of the share holders, and the number of share holders required to decrypt the secret is not clearly given. The purpose of this paper is to show the formulae and give a mathematical proof of it.
