Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we improve the χ^2-attack to a reduced-round RC6 block cipher. We propose three key recovery algorithms against RC6 without post-whitening. We also apply these three key recovery algorithms to RC6, which are demonstrated on RC6 with four 8-bit-word plaintexts. Our best attack can break 17 rounds RC6 by using 2^122.46 plaintexts with a success probability of 95%, which can work faster than exhaustive key search.
