Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Because of its short key length of 56 bits DES became vulnerable to the exhaustive key search attack in 1997 after 20 years since the adoption of DES as a standard. In 2000 AES with key sizes of 128, 192 and 256 bits has been adopted as a successor to the DES. DES algorithm uses 16 round keys of 48 bits in each of 16 rounds. Those 16 round keys are uniquely decided by 56-bit encryption key. This paper presents a simple method of using those round keys as an encryption key instead of the 56-bit DES encryption key. |
