Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigated the air purification process in plant through the bioelectrical potential analysis using nonlinear analysis methods. First, we transformed the time series data of the potential to a higher dimensional state space by a delay coordinate. Then, we evaluated the quantitative characteristics with deterministic nonlinear prediction. The results show that the orbits in the reconstructed state space showed variation by the pollutant gas injection, and time series data exhibited long-term unpredictability and short-term predictability. We also evaluated the nonlinear predictability of the time series data using the method of surrogate data. The predictabilities of the original data were different from those of the surrogate data sets. The result suggests that the time series data of the bioelectrical potential had the nonlinear characteristics.
