Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) What mechanism makes the rolling friction? We do not have the good solution of this. Through observation of rolling on the granular material, we have tried to model it. We found that the time-course of rolling friction shows exponential decay. From the result, we proposed a time evolution equation for rolling on the granular material. The parameters for the model equation have very strong relation with thickness of the granular layer.
