Abstract(in English) In this paper, we have proposed the clustering and recognition method by using newly the Self-Organization Map. As the shape recognition preprocess of the road sign recognition, there are used the outline information from the road sign extracted by the ActiveNet etc. The feature vector is generated from them. And this feature vector is learned by the Self-Organization Map. Thereby, we can recognize the shape of the road sign.
