Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied a method for the automatic detection of atrial fibrillation based on the sequence of intervals between heartbeats (RR interval). △RR_n interval is defined by RR_n-RR_. The standard density histograms of the RR and △RR intervals collected during atrial fibrillation were prepared before the test. Test density histograms of the RR and ARR intervals were compared with the standard density histograms by Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. If the test histogram is not significantly different from the standard density histogram, the test data is considered as atrial fibrillation (KS test). Further, as the coefficients of variation of the RR and △RR intervals were approximately constant during atrial fibrillation, we compared the coefficients of variation of the test histograms with the standard value (CV test). The KS test based on the △RR intervals showed a sensitivity of 94.4 % and a specificity of 97.2 %.
