Abstract(in English) Recently, there are some researches on 3-D sound localization system using 2 channel stereo. In such systems, head related transfer functions(HRTFs) are often utilized. However, conventional methods require too much computational cost to be implemented in real time systems. To cope with this difficulty, a low-cost algorithm has been proposed which takes advantage of the frequency-dependent characteristics HRTF. We newly implemented a 3-D sound localization system based on this algorithm, and at the same time, we also propose a sound image interpolation method for moving sound representation in this system.
