Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper considers the reinforcement learning of maneuvering motion of a ship with tidal current effect. The tidal effect is expressed as the turning moment of the head of the ship, and the shift of the center of that. The maneuvering motion is described by four-dimensional nonlinear equations with the moment and the shift. Q-Learning algorithm which is a basic algorithm in reinforcement learning is applied to these equations, and the shortest path is determined. The algorithm performance is demonstrated in a simple example.
