Abstract(in English) | In this report, Raman response function of the nonlinear optical fiber is analyzed only in time domain using a band-pass filter model. The analysis of a soliton pulse propagation in optical fiber considering higher-order effects of Raman scattering, higher-order dispersion and self steepening effects had been reprted and a digital soliton had been also proposed. Basically, an optical fiber with Raman effect behaves as a band-pass filter. The conventional analysis of an optical pulse propagation to solve the nonlinear Schroedinger equation by using Fourier and inverse Fourier transforms repetitively for the time and the frequency domains. In this proposal, however, the frequency characteristics is expressed and analyzed only in time domain. In this paper, a simple approach is realized to obtain Raman response function by the fiber-optic time domain analysis utilizing inverse Fourier transform of asymtotic band-pass filter model. The result is compared with inverse inverse Laplace transform of a band-pass filter model. |
