Optical Propagation Dynamics in A Nonlinear Waveguide Array

Abstract(in English) The propagation dynamics of optical waves in a nonlinear optical waveguide array have been investigated with the numerical simulations of the discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The numerical simulations for various excitation conditions (the excitation power and the phase) at the input plane of the array and for various distributions of the coupling constants, the propagation constants, and the nonlinear coefficients predict generations of solitons, spatially localized modes, optical Bloch oscillations, and symmetry-breaking.
