Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses the transmission technologies for the long-haul 40Gb/s-based WDM systems in the EDFA-based simple single-hybrid DMF line. By using our straight transmission line designed for transpacific 10Gb/s-based WDM systems, the maximum transmission distance and stability of 40Gb/s signals under PMD existence are investigated. Furthermore, in order to extend the transmission distance of 40Gb/s-based WDM signals, optimization of dispersion map and fiber property itself are analyzed, both with numerical simulation and experiments. |
