Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The horizontal drilling technique attracts attention as a promising method for installing optical fibers underground. One of major obstacles which prevent its popularization in Japan is the artificial noise in urban areas. Concentration of energy into discrete frequency bands with weak noise power spectrum by using OFDM has been proposed to mitigate this problem. As one-way communication is required for economical reasons, it is necessary to transmit information on the channel assignments. Here we propose a non-uniform QPSK scheme suited to simultaneously transmit two types of data with different reliability. |
