Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have examined the influence of an optical data signal on D/U and CNR of an electrical output from an optical network unit (V-ONU) for the optical video distribution system using FM conversion, by multiplexing an optical video signal and an optical data signal. The input power of the optical data signal to the V-ONU affecting the D/U and the CNR is more than -21dBm(@1.25Gb/sN PRBS2^7-1) when the input power of the optical video signal is -12dBm. This experimental result shows that the FM conversion system has an advantage for application to a WDM optical video distribution system using three-wavelength.
