Network Performance Management Method with Access Link Utilizations

Abstract(in English) Traffic management using the number of active flows and link utilization has been proposed. This method detects TCP performance degradation by the nonlinear increase in the number of active flows. However, measurement of the number of active flows is not an easy task. Therefore, we propose a new traffic management method only with the measured link utilization and its calculated variance. The effectiveness of the new method is demonstrated by simulations.
