Millimeter-Wave-Band SCM Radio-on-Fiber System with Photonic Downconversion Technique

Abstract(in English) In this report, we evaluate a photonic downconversion (PCD) technique, extended to the millimeter-wave-band subcarrier-multiplexed (SCM) radio-no-fiber (ROF) signal. To verify its operating principle, we transmitted a 2-channel-SCM ROF signal, consisting of two independent 60-GHz-band 155.52-Mb/s-differencial-phase-shift-keying ROF signals, over a 25-km-long standard single-mode optical fiber. To our knowledge, this is the first experimental demonstration of SCM ROF transmission with this PDC technique.
