Fabrication of Dielectric-Coated Hollow Fibers by Glass Drawing Method

Abstract(in English) For low-cost fabrication of long hollow fibers with small bore diameters, we propose a new fabrication method based on glass drawing technique. The fibers fabricated by this method have an inner thin glass layer which act as an interference coating to reduce fibers' losses. We confirm that the fiber with a proper glass thickness shows a low loss at the designed wavelengths.
