Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We combine optical power splitting and homodyne detection to make WDM optical amplified systems efficient and flexible with regard to bandwidth allocation. To implement this approach cost effectively, we consider the use of identical sending lights and local lights. This report introduces the design formulas that can achieve the required signal to noise ratio with low-level local lights and also overcome the optical power loss created by splitting numbers over 1,000.
