Abstract(in English) High spectral efficiency is the key to realize cost-effective ultra long-haul WDM transmission systems. From this perspective, we evaluated the effectiveness of a CSRZ-DPSK signal in transpacific transmission regarding the robustness against bandlimitation compared with a conventional CSRZ-OOK signal. We also show the experimental results on 70GHz-spaced 40 x 42.7Gbit/s pre-filtered CSRZ-DPSK signals transmission over 9400km.
