Abstract(in English) We developed 40Gbit/s optical communication modules using compound semiconductors. Modulator driver ICs and a clock and data recovery IC are assembled in a metal housing, respectively. Full-WDM band photodiode modules are also developed. We demonstrate 40Km optical fiber transmission of 1.55μm wavelength 43Gbit/s signal using these modules.
