Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Pulse transmission in a fiber link with use of pulse distortion compensation by a midway optical phase-conjugation is numerically analyzed with consideration for dispersion fluctuation of fibers. The most dominant factor of pulse distortion has been predicted to be the difference between accumulated dispersions in fibers behind and beyond the phase-conjugator. The distortion will be greatly reduced if we can equalize the two accumulated dispersions. |
