Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Stratospheric platform (SPF) networks can realize efficient multicast service by utilizing multiple address function or inter-links among SPFs. Conventional multicast routing algorithms, however, cannot efficiently operate in SPF networks owing to high cost of multicast trees, much consumption of network resource, or underutilizing the SPF's characteristics. We have developed a new multicast routing algorithm for SPF networks. The algorithm periodically reroutes the multicast trees in each SPF's coverage area. We also evaluated the proposed algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm can operate more effeciently than conventional algorithms in SPF networks.
