Abstract(in English) Recently IP phone (VoIP) services arc being spread in IP networks, and the number of IP phone service users is expected to be increasing. However, the number of PSTN users cannot be reached to zero, because many users still feel that current telephone services are enough. So, both the PSTN and IP phone users will exist together in the future. In this situation, it is important to improve the service-level interoperability between the PSTN and IP networks. In this paper, we propose the 'service connectivity' concept and describe its architecture, which enables to interoperate services between the PSTN and IP networks.
