Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an optical access technique for multiple channels of very high-bit-rate digital subscriber line (VDSL) employing sub-carrier multiplexing. A new method is applied to estimate its out-of-band radiation that significantly degrades transmission characteristics, but cannot be estimated by conventional CTB/CSO methods. We experimentally demonstrate a dual-wavelength (1.3/1.55μm DFB-LD) bi-directional transmission of 50ch of VDSL signals over a 20km SMF and theoretically examines chromatic dispersion-induced limit in scalability and transmission distance.
