Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a modulation level information (MLI) reduction scheme using a carreir-hole transmission technique for subcarrier-blocked orthogonal frequency division multiplex/adaptive modulation scheme (OFDM/AMS) to reduce overhead for MLI without degrading so much throughput performances. In the proposed scheme, adjacent subcarriers are blocked to be assigned for the same modulation level, thereby reducing the amount of MLI. Moreover, the proposed scheme also employ adaptive carrier-hole assignment scheme with a carrier-hole detection technique to further enhance transmission performance. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme is effective in reducing the amount of MLI without degrading so much the throughput performances. |
