Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many kinds of audio coding methods are proposed, but many of them needs large delay. Furthermore an encoder needs very large complexity to provide better quality using masking effects for psycho-acoustic model or large coding books for vector quantizations. This paper proposes new interactive two-way communication, low delay and small complexity coding for small portable devices. The comparison with the proposed method and ADPCM for the result from the subjective quality assessment, delay and complexity shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
