Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is known that the electromagnetic wave was radiated from earth's crust before the earthquake occurrence. We have been observing the electromagnetic waves in ELF band. In spite of observing in ELF band, the observed signal contains several signals disrelated to the precursor signal. In this paper, we propose a state space model to estimate the precursor signal. This model focuses on the seasonal trend and daily variation of lightning noises. Then, we show that Kalman filter can estimate the precursor signal using the model.
