Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a progressive joint coding of a range image and texture using a range image. We used the method that decomposes a range image and texture in hierarchical frameworks using wavelet transform and scales up pixels of texture with S information acquired when a range image is coded by EZW-IP. When mapping texture on a 3D model by this proposing method, it realized an efficient coding visually and progressive scalability representation of a 3D model was enabled. This proposing method was actually applied to a range image and texture and the availability of this method was shown.
