Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A design method of digital filters with easily variable frequency response is proposed and applied to hearing aids. The use of Bernstein polynomial and De Casteljau algorithm makes it possible to design 2-band digital filters having given amplitude and degrees of flatness at two points of frequency. The concept is extended to have n-band filters using Neville algorithm. Frequency response of digital filters thus designed have certain degrees of flatness at given frequency points and amplitude at those points are given independently by the corresponding multiplier coefficients. Array structures suitable for VLSI implementation and direct form structure suitable for general-purpose processor implementation are shown. As an example a 7-band digital filter is designed for hearing aid applications.
