Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Molecular wires such as DNA and an insulated molecular wire, inclusion complex of conducting polymer and cyclic molecules, are indispensable for constructing molecular electronic devices. We have recently elongated a single chain of the molecular wires on a substrate with 4 metal electrodes and measured the conductivities with observing the shape of the chains by AFM. Here we introduce some experimental results of the conductivity measurement of the molecular wires.
