Abstract(in English) | We are just studying reduction of frame memory for Feedforward Driving(FFD) which is response speed improvement technology of a liquid crystal display. This time, we compared FFD using image compression for reduction of memory capacity (Compression FFD:cFFD) with FFD using quantization (Quantization FFD:qFFD). As a result, the evaluation revealed that in qFFD an error concentrated on a low frequency, and it caused false contour, but in cFFD an error diffused in a high frequency, and no false contour was generated. According to a characteristic of an error, it was confirmed that cFFD was more superior in the light of visual appreciation than qFFD. |
