Abstract(in English) In order to improve the viewing angle properties of a Multi-domain Vertical Alignment (MVA) LCD with circular polarizers, we have carried out computer simulations under various LCD panel configurations. We clarify that usage of properly-designed biaxial λ/4 significantly reduces the light leakage at the off-state, resulting in widening the high contrast viewing zone of the panel.
